Online store and checkout
Your website includes an online store that sells from the same product list as the counter. Stock levels, prices and photos come straight from Inventory.

What shoppers see
- Products lists active products with photos, prices and stock, filtered by category or searched by name.
- Each product page shows the photos, description, specs and any warning bar you set.
- Products you pin appear in the featured carousel.
- A shopper can ask to be emailed when a sold-out product is back in stock.
Hide a product from the store by setting it inactive, or turn off Online payments on it so it can be seen but not bought online.
Checkout
Shoppers can pay:
- by card, through Square's hosted payment form. Card numbers are entered inside Square's form and never reach your server,
- with a gift card, for part or all of the order,
- in store when they collect, or by e-Transfer. These orders are reserved until paid.
They choose in-store pickup, local delivery or shipping. With UPS set up, shipping uses live UPS rates. See Orders and shipping.
Card payments are charged through Square when the order is placed. Each order arrives in Shipping with its payment status, and you are emailed. See Payments.
Abandoned carts
A shopper who starts a cart and leaves can be emailed a reminder once. This needs the abandoned-cart job in Scheduled jobs.
Other customer pages
Your site also includes pages that feed the back office:
| Page | Lands in |
|---|---|
| Booking | Appointment requests. See Service calls and appointments |
| Sell a device | Trade-in requests. See Refurbishing and trade-ins |
| Contact and order-service forms | An email to you, and a lead in CRM & Marketing |
The checkout page runs with its own stricter security headers that allow only Square's payment hosts.
