First sign-in and setup

Sign in at https://your-domain/admin/ with the administrator account you created during installation.

The welcome wizard

On the first sign-in a short wizard opens over the dashboard. It has three steps, and Skip setup closes it at any point:

  1. Business identity: legal name, trade name, phone, email, address, currency and your tax or business number. These print on receipts, invoices and emails.
  2. Localization: timezone, date format, first day of the week and currency symbol.
  3. Integrations: a pointer to Settings & Secrets › Integrations & API Keys, where email, payments and other keys go.

Everything the wizard sets can be changed later in Settings & Secrets. The wizard does not come back once you finish or skip it.

A sensible order for the first day

  1. Finish the business profile and upload your logo.
  2. Set up email and send a test message.
  3. Add the scheduled jobs to the server's crontab.
  4. Check POS & Tax in Settings: tax label and rate, tenders and cash rounding. See Point of sale.
  5. Turn on two-factor sign-in for your own account under Security & 2FA. See Security.
  6. Create roles and staff accounts. See Users, roles and permissions.
  7. Bring in your existing customers and stock with Settings & Secrets › Import Data. It reads CSV exports from RepairShopr, RepairDesk and most other systems, previews the column mapping and can do a dry run first.
  8. Add your services and products, then open your first repair ticket from Repairs & Bench. See Repairs and the bench.

Finding your way around

The sidebar groups every screen under Operations, Catalogue & Stock, People, Finance, Website and Portals, with System tools (live chat, backups, updates, settings and documentation) below. The search box in the top bar finds customers, tickets, invoices and products from any screen.

On a phone the console switches to a layout with a bottom tab bar for Home, POS, Repairs and Inbox.
